Males have longer and broader feet than women, and studies
show men and women differ significantly. Female feet and legs are not simply
scaled-down versions of male feet but, rather they differ in several shape
characteristics, particularly at the arch, the lateral side of the foot, the
first toe, and the ball of the foot.

These anatomical differences are taken into account in the
design of Red On Socks, which is why we classify sizes into gender as well as
shoe size. The sock will sit above most boots and be the correct size, width,
length and fit for your feet.

Characterising sizing this way will guarantee the sock
contours your feet to provide you all-day superior comfort and support.

Enhanced Grip

Specially developed TRI-TECH technology provides enhanced
protection and grip through the mid-foot by tightly fitting around the contours
of your unique feet.

On either side of the arch support band, the mid-weight

Targetted Compression

Zone-specific compression around the Achilles tendon helps to improve elastic energy return, making you more efficient. Studies show
running/movement economy can nearly be doubled in humans by improving the
elastic energy return of the Achilles tendon.

When you run, your Achilles tendon stretches and recoils. As one of your feet swings forward, the Achilles tendon in that foot is stretched
out greatly. Then, as your foot hits the ground, your Achilles tendon recoils, similar to how an elastic band will snap back into shape after it’s released.
The added compression in Red On Socks around the Achilles copies and aids this recoil because, like the Achilles, it, too, wants to snap back into shape as quickly as possible.

Seamless Toe

Creating a sock that works as hard as you do, we know that
they must meet every arduous demand placed on your feet over long periods of
time.

Red On Socks maintain their quality throughout their
lifetime. They meet high wear resistance requirements, and although abrasions
are an unavoidable problem for hard-working feet, the seamless toe ensures
there are no loose fibres. Having a flat and smooth surface around the toe not
only helps to prevent rubbing and blisters but also slows down the process of
wear and tear.

Unlike other socks, we don’t expose our stitches in the toe.
When exposed, stitching fibres rub on the shoe, and it begins to break down,
with a hole or thinning occurring soon after.
